Note: These Bylaws were passed at a special Membership Meeting on December 12, 2000.
The following changes to the 1999 Bylaws were effected in these 2000 Bylaws:

  1. 1999 Bylaws, Article I, Section 2, Paragraph a: Sentence beginning “Deciding issues of major importance to the Association, e.g. ratification of by-laws,the decision to obligate the Association to long-term debt, etc., will require a two-thirds majority of the members voting.”
    to:
    Deciding issues of major importance to the Association, issues that, if enacted, could change in substantial and fundamental ways the ways the character of MALA as we know it today, e.g., the approval of capital expenditures of more than $3000, ratification of by-laws, the decision to obligate the Association to long-term debt, etc.,will require a two-thirds majority of the majority of members voting. All other issues will be decided by a simple majority vote.
  2. Additional differences will be added here as time allows. There are at least four more paragraphs with significant changes.
